Why Small Rituals Matter (Especially in Autumn)

Rituals don’t have to be elaborate. They don’t have to be tied to religion or tradition. Some of the most grounding rituals are simple, personal moments we create for ourselves.

For me, it might be lighting a candle before I begin my morning routine – making coffee, feeding the dogs and making sure I have a few minutes to dive into a book, or making space in the evening to sip tea without distractions. These pauses shape the way I move through my day. They become markers—touchstones—that remind me to live with more presence and intention.

Autumn is my favorite time to lean into ritual. The shifting light, the pull indoors, the coziness of blankets and mugs—it all sets the stage. When I design seasonal collections, I’m always thinking about how they can help you carve out those moments, too. That’s why I’ve been putting together fall ritual bundles: gatherings of scent, warmth, and inspiration you can weave into your own rhythm.

Rituals don’t need to be complicated. They just need to be yours. Whether it’s the glow of candlelight on a quiet evening or the laughter of friends carving pumpkins together, these rituals anchor us. They give shape to fleeting moments and make the season feel more vivid.

This fall, I’m choosing slowness. I’m creating pockets of peace and memory. And I’d love to invite you to do the same.
