Pumpkin Spice: Everyone Knows It, Nobody Smells It

Pumpkin Spice: Everyone Knows It, Nobody Smells It

Pumpkin spice took over the world. You know the smell before you even see the candle. Funny thing is, pumpkin itself barely smells like anything. It's the spices doing all the work: cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger. Pumpkin gets all the credit for a scent it's not really responsible for.

That spice blend was pie long before it was a latte. Pumpkin pie spice has been showing up in recipes for generations, the same blend that became shorthand for the whole season once it landed in a coffee cup.

Spice Market leans into that honestly. There's chai tea in this one, so it's mostly spice rather than pumpkin pie in a jar. Cinnamon, clove, cardamom carrying it.
